The Story Behind Our Foundation
Balatripura Sundari, also know as Bala or Balambika, the youthful and radiant form of Goddess Tripura Sundari, the embodiment of divine beauty beauty wisdom, and innocence. She is revered in the Sri Vidhya tradition as the child Goddess who holds immense spiritual power despite her tender age.
According to Brahmanda Purana, Bala was born from Goddess Lalita Tripura Sundari herself. When the demon Bhandasura threatened cosmic harmony, Bala appearing as a nine year old instead on joining the battle. Through her mother hesitated, Bala was granted divine weapons and armor. With unmatched courage, she defeated Bhandasura’s thirty sons, proving that purity and devotion can triumph over darkness.
